This course is designed for those with site experience who wish to gain entry into Higher Education.

  • Health, safety and welfare in construction and the built environment
  • Sustainable construction
  • Mathematics in construction and the built environment
  • Science and materials in construction and the built environment
  • Construction technology and design in construction and civil engineering
  • Building technology in construction
  • Surveying in construction and civil engineering

Entry guidelines

Industrial experience and craft qualifications at level 2.

Demonstrate the ability to work at level 2 in English and maths

Basic computer skills would be an advantage but are not essential as training is provided.

If you are aged 19+, you may be able to apply for a 19+ Advanced Learner Loan (which is available for some courses at level 3-6).
