Nurses at Arrowe Park Hospital take part in a Stress Management Pamper Day

Wirral Met complementary therapy and beauty therapy students put their talent and skills into action. Nurses at Arrowe Park Hospital had the opportunity to be pampered by students from Wirral Met Complementary Therapy and Beauty Therapy students in December for a Stress Management and Pamper Day.

Dr Joe Delaney, Consultant in Integrative Medicine with Clare Pratt, Deputy Director of Nursing.

There is an increasing pressure on NHS staff and health services so it was a great opportunity for students to give the Nurses a pamper session allowing them to de-stress.

Clare Pratt, Deputy Director of Nursing at Arrowe Park Hospital said:

“What a credit all the beauticians and therapists were to your College. They were so lovely and professional not to mention the splendid job they did. My nails have not looked so good in a long time”.

The stress management and pamper sessions were very successful and further sessions have already been booked and will be spread throughout the hospital for the wonderful staff.

Complementary therapy students are taught a range of techniques including massage, aromatherapy and reflexology with practical and theory sessions along with health, safety and hygiene. Find out more about the Complementary Therapy Courses on offer.
