A course in computer aided design can lead to a variety of different career routes in the construction industry. You could see yourself working as a CAD designer or even an interior designer.
We offer excellent facilities, with a brand new campus dedicated to Construction and the Built Environment, incorporating industry standard workshops. You will develop your skills with the support of tutors who are experts in their field. Wirral Met College’s excellent links with employers will help you gain the practical work experience to prepare you for getting jobs and apprenticeships.

Junior CAD technicians can earn between £15,000 and £20,000 a year. With experience, technicians can earn between £22,000 and £35,000 a year. Junior interior designers can earn from around £18,000 to £22,000 a year. Experienced designers can earn between £24,000 and £40,000 a year, with senior designers earning £45,000 or more a year.
