Plasterers apply different kinds of plaster to internal walls and ceilings so that they are ready for decorating. You could also see yourself covering outside walls with coating such as sand, cement, render or pebble dash. You will need maths skills, be physically fit and able to work as part of a team.

Career Opportunities

Starting salaries for plasterers vary from £14,000 and £17,000 a year. Qualified plasterers can earn from £17,500 to £25,000 or more. (Source)

Where Next?

Many students progress onto jobs and/or apprenticeships once they have completed their study programmes, whilst some decide to become self-employed and set up their own business once they have gained the skills and experience in the trade.
